Flying the flag for British wool during the Wool Week 2014 in London

What an auspicious week for a British knitwear launch, because this week is WOOL WEEK, and it kicked off to a brilliant start on Sunday, with the Wool Ride organised by the Campaign for Wool.

Ally Bee was there flying the flag for wool – of the British variety – with other woolly enthusiasts on the 13.4 mile ride through London on the most heavenly Autumn day. We were supposed to shout out loud for the sake of wool and stop to admire shop window displays of the major retail sponsors of Wool Week – but oops, sorry – no one bothered to stop and we simply went with the flow, taking in the famous sites of London along the way. Here’s some highlights…

And finally, back at Potter’s Field by Tower Bridge where the wearers of wool onesies, donners of tweed and knitters congregated for beer and a chat about wool.

PS РAnd a big thank you to Look Mum, No Hands, the bike repairers who kindly fixed my bike before setting off on the Wool Ride 2014. See you all again next year! x
